Taylor Swift Album Spends 15th Week at Number One

Taylor Swift has secured a 15th week at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with her album The Life of a Showgirl, InMusic Blog reported. The release earned 87,000 equivalent album units in its latest week, down from 93,000 units in its 14th week. According to InMusic Blog, Swift has now accumulated 101 total weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, making her the first solo artist to reach 100 weeks at the top. [1]

The achievement follows a live performance by Swift at the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17, 2026. Pitchfork, Billboard, and Rolling Stone all reported that Swift gave her track The Fate of Ophelia its live debut during the event. She also performed the songs Love Story, Blank Space, and I Knew It, I Knew You, an original track written for Toy Story 5. [3][4][5][7]

The Life of a Showgirl was released on October 3, 2025, through Republic Records. Swift wrote and produced the record alongside Max Martin and Shellback while recording in Sweden during the European leg of her Eras Tour in 2024. As FTMQ Music reported earlier, Swift previously reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with her single Patient Zero. [8][12]

InMusic Blog noted that The Life of a Showgirl is moving closer to matching Swift's previous album, The Tortured Poets Department, which spent 17 weeks at number one. The Beatles remain the only musical act to have accumulated more overall weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart than Swift. [1]
