Canadian rapper Drake has decided not to submit any of his three latest solo albums for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, Rolling Stone and Billboard reported. The decision applies to his projects Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour. [1][2][5][6][8]
The three projects were released simultaneously on May 15, 2026, through OVO Sound and Republic Records, Wikipedia notes. According to Rolling Stone, the records held steady on the music charts throughout the summer. Iceman broke Drake's previous record for the longest run at the top of Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, surpassing the 12-week run set by his earlier album Take Care. [1][8]
Drake referenced his decision in the lyrics of Iceman, rapping on the closing track Make Them Know that he would never submit the project, Rolling Stone and HotNewHipHop reported. The move marks a continuation of Drake declining to submit his music for consideration by the Recording Academy, which presents the annual Grammy Awards. [1][6][9]
