Taylor Swift Debuts The Fate of Ophelia at Academy Museum Gala

Taylor Swift debuted her track The Fate of Ophelia live during a performance at the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17, 2026. Billboard, Pitchfork, and Rolling Stone reported that the singer-songwriter performed a four-song set at the fundraising event, which benefits the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. [1][2][3][14]

Pitchfork and Rolling Stone reported that Conan O'Brien introduced Swift prior to her set. Swift opened with Blank Space before delivering the live debut of The Fate of Ophelia, a track from her album The Life of a Showgirl. Her four-song set also included Love Story and I Knew It, I Knew You. [2][3]

The track I Knew It, I Knew You was written and produced by Swift alongside Jack Antonoff for the soundtrack to the animated film Toy Story 5. It was released on June 5, 2026, through Walt Disney Records and promoted to United States country and pop radio formats.
