The Prince George's County Council voted unanimously on October 27, 2026, to approve up to $215 million in funding for a new music venue at National Harbor, Pitchfork and WTOP reported. The proposed facility on the Potomac River south of Washington, D.C., will be a smaller version of the venue in Las Vegas, Nevada. [1][2]

According to Pitchfork, the proposed Maryland venue will feature the same geodesic dome shape as the Las Vegas original. While the Nevada location accommodates up to 20,000 people, the planned capacity for the National Harbor project is approximately 6,000. The venue will sit within a larger development complex. [1]

Pitchfork reported that local leaders first announced the venue project in January. The October 27 vote by county council members advances the funding needed to push the development forward on the East Coast site. [1]
