The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack has extended its record for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Soundtracks chart, according to Billboard. The album has now accumulated 67 weeks at the top spot. The chart was first launched on June 30, 2001. [1]
The release comes as the 2025 Netflix animated musical film, which was produced by Sony Pictures Animation, has also received a home video release. Consequence reported that a 4K Ultra HD Criterion Collection edition of the film is now available, featuring bonus materials including a 49-minute production documentary and a full animatic version. [2]
The film introduces Huntrix, a fictional K-pop girl group featuring members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. Their singing voices are supplied by Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, while their speaking voices are performed by Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo. [8]
The Billboard Top Soundtracks chart includes soundtracks that have led the listing for 25 weeks or more since its 2001 inception. Billboard noted that because of the chart starting date in June 2001, the historical list excludes older hit film soundtracks such as West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Doctor Zhivago, Saturday Night Fever, and Purple Rain, while including the 1965 soundtrack for A Charlie Brown Christmas.
