Ownership group PRODI has partnered with Universidad de Guadalajara to develop a new stadium with a capacity of over 40,000 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Pollstar reported. The venue will serve as a new major location in the city following the recent opening of Coliseo GNP Seguros by promoter OCESA. [1]

According to Pollstar, the facility is being developed for the soccer club Atlas F.C., which is owned by PRODI. The global architecture firm Populous has been selected to design the new stadium. [1][3]

Populous has previously designed major sports and entertainment venues globally. Pollstar reported that these projects include Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London and Yankee Stadium in New York. [1]
