A new group named John Stamos and the California Sound will perform in place of The Beach Boys at EPCOT during the International Food and Wine Festival in Orlando, Florida, on November 11, 2026 and November 12, 2026. Consequence and Rolling Stone reported that the original concerts were billed as The Beach Boys featuring actor and musician John Stamos. The lineup change comes after frontman Mike Love pulled out of planned appearances to focus on his health, according to Ultimate Classic Rock and Rolling Stone. [1][2][3][7]
Love appeared frail during concerts in Nashville and Cincinnati earlier in October 2026, Ultimate Classic Rock and Rolling Stone reported. The 85-year-old vocalist was limited to performing backing vocals while remaining seated, according to Ultimate Classic Rock. Rolling Stone noted that the group has canceled additional dates, leaving only one show remaining on their schedule for 2026. [2][3]
As FTMQ Music reported earlier, Love previously returned to the stage with the band at the PNC Pavilion in Cincinnati on October 11, 2026, following a three-month break caused by health issues. Stamos addressed concertgoers before that show to discuss the frontman's condition. [9]
The Beach Boys were formed in Hawthorne, California, in 1961 by brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, alongside their cousin Mike Love and friend Al Jardine. The group gained fame for their vocal harmonies and lyrics defining the California sound. The new billing for the Florida festival raises questions over how the touring operation will proceed during Love's ongoing recovery, Consequence reported. [1][8]
