Ayra Starr announces 20-city Starrgirl World Tour for 2027

Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has announced details for her upcoming Starrgirl World Tour, set to begin in January 2027. The Fader and Pollstar both reported that the international tour will cover 20 cities across Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America. Stereoboard.com added that the run includes a concert at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London. [1][7][9]

The live dates support Starr's album Starrgirl, which was released on August 14. According to The Fader, the project debuted at number two on the Spotify Global Top Albums Chart and reached number one on Apple Music album charts in 15 countries. Before starting the European leg in January 2027, Starr will conclude the current year with performances in Africa, The Fader reported. [1][7]

The announcement follows an NFL halftime performance by Starr in London, according to Pollstar. Clash Magazine noted that the artist released the album Starrgirl earlier in the year to strong critical support. [6][7]

Starr rose to prominence in 2021 after signing with Mavin Records and releasing her debut EP. Her debut album 19 & Dangerous reached the top of the Apple Music charts in Nigeria. In 2022, her single Rush became the first track by an African female artist to surpass 100 million streams, later receiving a Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance in 2024. [11]
