Ashe Releases Piano Demo of Hit Single Stop The Wedding

American singer-songwriter Ashe has released an intimate piano demo of her single Stop The Wedding!, That Eric Alper reported on November 2, 2026. The outlet noted that the original recording has surpassed 200 million streams and reached No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it the biggest solo debut of her career. [1]

The original single was released on August 7, 2026, through Atlantic Records as the lead single for her album The Girl of Your Dreams, which followed on October 16, 2026. The track was written by Ashlyn Wilson, Noah Conrad, and Annika Bennett, and was produced by Conrad. [6][7]

Ashe began her career singing on demos in Nashville before providing guest vocals for EDM acts like Louis the Child in Los Angeles, according to Pitchfork Album Reviews. She gained attention with her 2019 song Moral of the Story, but after two indie label albums failed to build momentum, she canceled a tour and considered retirement in 2023 due to burnout. [2]

Her fourth studio album, The Girl of Your Dreams, reunited Ashe with producer Noah Conrad following her 2025 collaborative project The Dream with Finneas. The album was preceded by the two singles Stop The Wedding! and Funeral. [6]
