Architects frontman Sam Carter has spoken out regarding the mental health struggles and anxiety he experienced following negative online comments about his recent live vocal performances. NME, Louder, Metal Injection, Theprp.com, Kerrang!, and Lambgoat all reported that the vocalist released a statement on Instagram addressing the persistent online scrutiny. [1][2][3][4][5][6]

According to NME, Carter stated that he had been working tirelessly on his voice over the past year. He explained that the increased focus and anxiety surrounding his performance caused him to feel physically and emotionally exhausted, as negative feedback intensified over the summer. [1]

Theprp.com reported that the ongoing criticism specifically targeted Carter's live screams, which took the joy out of performing for him. Louder, Metal Injection, and Kerrang! also noted that the vocalist felt the judgment and public comments had become overwhelming. [2][3][4][5]

Architects are an English metalcore band formed in Brighton, East Sussex, in 2004 by twin brothers Dan and Tom Searle. The current lineup features Carter on vocals alongside drummer Dan Searle, bassist Alex Dean, and guitarist Adam Christianson, with the group signed to Epitaph Records since 2013. [7]
