Musician Sir Paul McCartney released brand new songs on October 7, 2026, as part of an expanded edition of his latest album. Facebook and the Liverpool Echo reported that the release includes a tribute to Liverpool. Pitchfork reported that the three new tracks are titled City Fox, One Night Stand, and Chelsea Boots. [1][2][3][4]
The new tracks originate from the recording sessions for his album titled The Boys of Dungeon Lane, which was produced alongside Andrew Watt. Stereogum reported that the original album was released earlier in the year as a nostalgic look back at McCartney's Liverpool childhood. Pitchfork noted that the original record came out in June 2026, while Stereogum reported a release date in May 2026. [3][5]
The new release also contains a updated version of Home to Us, a duet featuring his Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr. Stereogum noted that the song was McCartney's first ever duet with Starr. Pitchfork reported that the new edition features a flip mix of the track that reverses the vocal parts of the two musicians. [3][5]
McCartney gained global fame as the bassist, keyboardist, and co-lead vocalist for the Beatles alongside John Lennon. Stereogum reported that The Boys of Dungeon Lane earned McCartney his first nomination for the Mercury Prize in the United Kingdom. [5][9]
