Northlane postpone new album Anemoia and share single Deathwish

Australian metal group Northlane have moved the release date of their upcoming seventh studio album, Anemoia, to November 27, 2026. Rock Sound and rocknloadmag.com both report that the delay is due to production issues. To coincide with the date change, the band released a new single titled Deathwish on October 21, 2026. [1][5]

Chaoszine reports that Northlane have also rescheduled part of their tour alongside the album date change. According to rocknloadmag.com, Deathwish serves as the fourth preview track from the album and acts as a companion track to their previous single, Crucified. The outlet notes that the new song features synth instrumentation, soaring clean vocals in the chorus, and a heavy breakdown. [1][3]

Northlane formed in Blacktown, Australia, in 2009. The group consists of guitarists Jon Deiley and Josh Smith, drummer Nic Pettersen, and vocalist Marcus Bridge. The band plays metalcore and progressive metalcore music and has previously released six studio albums, including Discoveries, Singularity, Node, Mesmer, Alien, and Obsidian. Node reached number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, while Singularity peaked at number three. [8]
