Doves guitarist Jez Williams announces debut solo album Life Of Me And You

Doves guitarist Jez Williams has announced his debut solo album, Life Of Me And You. Stereogum and XS Noize both reported that the Manchester musician released the lead single, Hollow Man. According to NME, the album is scheduled for release on Friday, February 26, 2027. [1][2][3][8]

Williams called the new single a song about modern life, Stereogum reported. NME described the track as groove-driven and noted that the album was inspired by classic 1960s and 1970s pop music, with Williams calling the project a labor of love. [1][3]

The release follows a teaser campaign during the summer. Clash Magazine reported that an ultra-limited seven-inch vinyl disc containing instrumental tracks titled Magnificent Morning and Walk Alone was shipped secretly to record shops and sold out within 24 hours based on word of mouth. [2]

Williams is a guitarist and member of the English indie rock band Doves alongside twin brother Andy Williams and vocalist Jimi Goodwin. Last year, Doves released their sixth studio album, Constellations For The Lonely, Stereogum reported. [1][10]

To support the solo release, Williams will play his first live shows supporting the band Elbow, NME reported. Contactmusic.com reported that he has also announced solo live dates in Manchester. [3][9]
