Five-time Grammy winner Drake did not submit any of his three 2026 albums for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, Music Business Worldwide, Digital Music News, XXL Magazine, and JubileeCast reported. According to reports citing Billboard, sources confirmed that the rapper did not submit any tracks or albums to the Recording Academy. [1][2][3][8]

The albums in question are Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour. Music Business Worldwide reported that Billboard originally disclosed the details during a feature examining the chances for hip-hop in the general field categories at the Grammys. All three projects were released simultaneously on May 15, 2026, through Republic Records and Universal Music Group. [1][13]

Upon release, all three albums achieved major commercial success on the Billboard 200 chart. Music Business Worldwide noted that the trio took the top three spots on the chart during their debut week, with Iceman reaching No. 1, Habibti at No. 2, and Maid of Honour at No. 3. [1]

As FTMQ Music reported earlier, Drake released the albums as surprise projects, with Iceman surpassing Take Care for his longest run atop the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. His decision not to submit the music continues a prior boycott of the industry ceremony. Digital Music News and Asian Economy reported that South Korean groups BTS and Stray Kids are also sitting out the awards. [2][4][5][13]
