Turnstile Singer Brendan Yates Halts Oklahoma City Show to Remove Security Guard

Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates stopped the band's show at The Criterion in Oklahoma City on October 5, 2026, to confront a venue security guard who was involved in a physical altercation with a fan. Loudwire and Consequence both reported that Yates jumped off the stage mid-song to intervene. The incident occurred about three-quarters of the way through the setlist during the performance of Keep It Moving. [1][2]

According to Consequence, footage posted on Reddit shows Yates attempting to pull the security guard off the concertgoer after the guard apparently took a swing at the fan. Loudwire reported that Yates demanded the security guard be kicked out of the venue, and the band refused to resume playing until the guard was removed.
