The Rolling Stones have returned to the recording studio to work on new music, according to reports from NME and The News International. Saxophonist Courtney Pine revealed that he recorded a session with frontman Mick Jagger a few weeks ago. [1][4]

Speaking on BBC Radio 3's Private Passions, in an episode scheduled to air on October 11, 2026, Pine stated that he completed a session with Jagger for the band. Pine called Jagger an amazing artist and noted that the pop world is completely different from what he knows. NME reported that Pine previously played saxophone on Jagger's 1993 work. [1]

The studio sessions come three months after the band released their 25th studio album, titled Foreign Tongues. The News International reported that the return to the studio follows the success of that latest album release. [1][4]
