The Country Music Association announced the performer lineup for a televised tribute special honoring Dolly Parton on October 5, 2026. According to Consequence, the two-hour program titled CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton is scheduled to air on October 21, 2026. Outlets including BroadwayWorld and Female First report that the program will broadcast on ABC and stream on Disney Plus. [1][2][6][10]

According to reports from American Songwriter, Consequence, and Music-News.com, the tribute performance lineup features Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Lainey Wilson, Ella Langley, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Kelsea Ballerini, Zac Brown, and Kristen Bell. [4][5][6][7]

Whiskey Riff reported that Parton died on August 25 at 80 years old in Nashville, Tennessee, following undisclosed health issues over the previous year. [3]

The special takes its title from Parton's 1973 song written as a farewell to her business partner Porter Wagoner, which reached the top of the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 1974 and again in 1982. [13]
